Opportunity for funding: DOE Releases $13 Million for Community Geothermal
The toxic legacy of combustion power remains in an est. 60k ton coal ash waste dumpsite located underneath the Chapel Hill, North Carolina Police Department and spilling out along the cliff decending to Bolen creek. Current plans include site redevelopment into housing without encapsulation on all sides, endangering residents and water quality.
